Tis Done

It is done.

The race is over ... and completed. And as Francis has yet again proven me right, I was glad I did it though I wish I could have given Daren a greater margin for (some sort of) victory. He ran really well. I swam just ok considering the circumstances.

It was hard getting a rhythm today. The participants this time around were so wildly aggressive. I can't remember how many times I've been kicked pulled and tugged at but I do remember someone trying to push me under with the left stroke of his freestyle and a goddamn caucasian who constantly tried to cut me and kick me in the face! Thanks to these people, and the fact that i couldn't quite see where I was going with the freestyle, I changed to breast stroke. Lost a little lead there because of that.

But well, apart from hoping I had done better for Daren's sake, I guess it was alright. The kids who took part did really great. Proud of them.

So then ... what's next?
