What is the greatest fear of teaching?
It's not the physical exhaustion, the mental fatigue, the lack of sleep, or the irregular meal times ...
It's the fear ... of being left behind; of being forgotten.
Perhaps this is true of any vocation and any individual but its reality is more poignant in a vocation that constantly requires one to give from within for that fear will certainly be realised.
