They say that those who want to live must learn how to die - death teaches one how to live.
As paradoxical as that may sound it is very much true. And so The Prayer of St Francis holds true for "it is in dying that we're born to eternal life." To live eternally isn't to await the nether ever-after; it is about living fully in the knowledge that death is an immanent and imminent reality.
