What would we give to live life again, to experience again the moments we felt defined us, to savour the bliss that comes ever so once in a while. What are we willing to exchange so as to to re-live the seconds and minutes we felt such overwhelming happiness and joy. What would we offer to walk again on the sands of a simpler time, a time when innocence was the only truth and living was neither complex nor raw. What would we give to feel once more the comfort of a warm hand on our shoulder, a firm grip of loving assurance. What would we give to taste once more the tenderness of a kiss and the warmth of a loving embrace. What would we sacrifice to undo the tragedies that have become such a familiar presence. What would we offer to escape the pain. What would we do to recall the things we wish we'd never said, or utter the words we wish we had. What would we give to retrieve the hurt we've caused and undo the damage we've done. What would we do to make things work again, to not let love slip away. What would we give to recover that which is now lost, recapture those moments when love filled us and overflowed with goodness. What would we exchange to re-build the bridges we've burnt. What would we offer to hear the familiar voice of a departed loved one. What would we give to say 'hello' again to one we've loved and lost.
What would we do to unwrite our histories so we may write them again? What would you do to unweave this tapestry of your life so you may thread a new one?
What would you give to turn back time?
What would you sacrifice to stay in eternal bliss?
But time and moments cannot be bartered.
I miss you still...
