Sin

How did the sins of a few become the burden to be borne by the rest of humanity?

Is this the justice we've since longed bragged of that propels us from the state of animality?
Are we not, in the end, savages enslaved to desire, greed, gluttony, avarice? To think we have towering testimonies of our intelligence and ingenuity. Beneath the veneers of human achievement there lies only animalism.

And we were made to believe we could succeed by our own effort, retain our humanity by being honest and compassionate.

But they are merely lies. Altruism, truth, and honesty - values - they serve only to strengthen the positions of the deceitful. Like religion, it's made to pacify the masses; shadows cast on the wall by the shadow puppeteers.

So who pays the price of sin? The sin of others?
