Aniron

I've always been told that I was born in the wrong era.

My fascination with medievalism, its codes, its beliefs, its values - and my passion for Fantasy - is testimony to that prescribed observation by a close mentor of mine.

Watching The Fellowship of The Ring for the fourth time, on TV, reminded me yet again why I am so fascinated with those distant lands.

It isn't just about escaping this world - perhaps it is; it's about believing in something larger than oneself, believing in a mission and a quest that could change the world - and how one person could make all that difference. It's about the values of honour, trust, integrity and friendship that appeals to me. It's about sacrificing oneself for a belief that is larger than one's ego. It's about believing in goodness, and believing that there is something worth fighting for, that there is some good in this world worth dying for ...

I'm not sure if there is such a concept, or belief, any longer today ...
